Once there, the fire is lit, and the smoke spreads out and settles over the magical landscape. The guide pores the coffee and offers something good to bite into, and the excitement increases as the time for the northern lights crackle across the sky comes closer. Listen to the stories the guide can tell, and do not hesitate to ask if you have any questions.

This is a trip where we take you out into nature to give you a fantastic experience. We check the possibility of the northern lights in advance, so that you are assured of the best possible conditions. Before we pick you up at the hotel, we check that you have warm enough clothes. We drive up the mountain, where we adapt snowshoes, before we give you a good introduction to how to best take pictures of the northern lights. You have told us in advance if you need to borrow warm clothes or a camera tripod. This, of course, free of charge.
Up on the mountain we take a short trip on snowshoes. Once at the small hut, we make a fire. While we wait for the northern lights, we serve coffee, tea, and a bite to eat.
The first realistic description of the northern lights was in the well-known Norwegian textbook “Kongespeilet” from approx. in 1230. In 1724, the first dissertation entirely devoted to the Northern Lights phenomenon was written by the Norwegian Jens Christian Spidberg.

Northern Lights research is still ongoing in Norway and in many other countries. This research provides and has given us new information about the sun, the earth’s atmosphere, and the near space.
